"BUT YOU ARE A CHOSEN PEOPLE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, GOD’S SPECIAL POSSESSION, THAT YOU MAY DECLARE THE PRAISES OF HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS WONDERFUL LIGHT.  ONCE YOU WERE NOT A PEOPLE, BUT NOW YOU ARE THE PEOPLE OF GOD." -1 Peter 2:9

AMEN!

2 Corinthians 1:20 "For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "Yes!" And through Christ, our "Amen" (which means "Yes") ascends to God for his glory."

We need to understand that when we say "amen" we are not doing it for the preacher's sake, it's actually for our own benefit. It's great if it encourages the speaker but that is not the reason we say it. The word "amen" literally means "let it be" or "so shall it be". An amen is an agreement with what is being spoken. The true power of saying amen is that through our agreement with what's being spoken, we are actually allowing God to unlock and release the things we are agreeing with into our lives. If I can say it this way, the amen allows God to move. If we do not agree with what's being spoken it has the potential to cause a spiritual blockage. For example, God has no desire to force his will, his purposes and his blessings on our lives. God will not commission his blessings, his love, his joy, his peace and his mercy without our consent. If we don't want it and don't agree with it, he will not give it to us.

We shouldn't say something just for the sake of saying it. God's desire for us is that we have a realization of the power of saying amen and that we become intentional with our thoughts and expectations as we say AMEN.

Fire

For a long time I was easily deceived by the enemy over and over again.  I know this now because my faith was all theory and it lacked the solid foundation of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit as my source of joy, comfort and a guide for my decisions.  I was in great need of more of God. In November 2011, I was baptised in water and in the Holy Spirit. Amen!  At that moment in my heart, I knew that I wouldn’t be the same ever again.  That day, God through the power of the Holy Spirit, started breaking down walls in my life and started revealing more of himself to me in a way I had never experienced before.   God restored joy to my life, which was something I had searched for in all the wrong directions.  For the first time in my life I really understood what it means to have an intimate relationship with God.  There is nothing more exciting than knowing God always has more of himself to give his children and that he eagerly awaits for them to seek him, so he can give gift upon gift after gift. Search and you will find, ask and you will receive. Baptism in the Holy Spirit was so important to me because when Jesus immersed my spirit in God’s, burdens fell off and a longing desire for more was born.  If you are thinking of being baptised, don’t wait because it will start an unquenchable fire that will consume all your life.

Closer

James 4:8 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

We were designed to live and walk with the Lord. Psalm 139:15 says “my frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.” God created and formed us in the secret place, that is our destiny, living life from a place of knowing and being close to God. It is up to us to go and spend time with Him. He is waiting for us, always ready to speak and encounter us. He is faithful and we can trust that as we posture ourselves before Him, seeking His face He will show up. So lets take time everyday to meet with God, not because it is our duty or something to check off our list but because there is nowhere else like being in the presence of God. Because our Glorious Lord and Saviour is there waiting to speak to us and change us. If we will draw close to Him, He will draw close to us.

Love

Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

Ephesians 1:4 says, “he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.”

This means, when God created the heavens, you were on his mind. Let’s just think about this for a second... The God of the universe, The King of everything, thought of you before he even created the world. You were on his mind, he was thinking of you. The great mystery of God, is that he knew us before we were even alive. Before you knew him, he knew you. And even greater still, he loved you. He loved you so much that he sent his Son to die for you (John 3:16), so that you could live a life as “holy and blameless before him” (Ephesians 1:4).

God so loves you. He can’t do anything but love you! God is constantly pursuing you. He wants nothing less than all of you, because he knows life with him is so much better than what the world can offer. What an awesome God we serve...
